Linking Your Thursdays away

There's no rhyme or reason--well, at least there's no order to the links below.  It's just a jumble of eclectic pages to while away your time.

The first link has to do with storms because of the devastating tornadoes that took place yesterday.  Storm chaser Jeff Gammons keeps the Weather, Storms & Hurricane Blog.  A quote from the about me page of the blog Weather or Not: "This is “Weather or Not,” the personal blog for atmospheric scientist, severe storm enthusiast, storm photographer, football fan, and family man Roger Edwards."  Some neat pictures and discussion of photography on Stacked Plates: Storm Chasing and Photography.   To close out tornado alley blogs, Texas Tailblogger's last post (March 28) is of the author Steve Miller kicking himself for not chasing the right lead.

Moving on, it's not that he mentions one of our books, it's also that Fresh Eyes Now is a neat blog kept by a bookseller.

Arts & Letters Daily, published by the Chronicle of Higher Education,  offers short summaries and links to articles published in many sources (such as newspapers and magazines) on (what else?) arts and letters.

And really, just for fun and to release steam, visit Mad as Hell Club: A Healthy Dose of Ranting & Raving.  And speaking of eclectic!  Lots of different people and lots of good writing.

Enjoy your Thursday

P.S.
Have you checked out the other university presses' blog sites?  A link to all known university press blogs are on this sidebar.

Thanks for the link to my site! I would like to know who the real author is who so kindly linked to my March 28th blog post so that I can thank them personally. :-)

Hi Steve!

I compile all the links in the Thursday link posts. I'm originally from Wisconsin which is, admittedly, not without its tornadoes, but we don't have as rough as a season as had here in the Plains.

I enjoyed your site.
